On 18th May Vertis is co-hosting an event about the Carbon Tracker Initiative, which is creating a revolution in fossil fuel investment.
The event will be led with a talk by Anthony Hobley, the CEO of CTI, and then there will be a round-table discussion involving experts from the Hungarian financial and energy sectors.
Carbon Tracker is a think-tank which has developed a new approach to analysing the risk to fossil fuel companies of climate change regulation. Their seminal analysis shows that between 60-80% of fossil reserves of publicly listed companies are unburnable if the world is to have a chance of not exceeding global warming 2 degrees Celsius.
The event is supported by the Hungarian Economics Association and the British Embassy in Hungary.
